You will find the 8 cylinder 4.0 TDI Common Rail engine nested in the VW Touareg and other VWAG MLB platforms. This engine belongs to the EA898 family developed by Audi and incorporates the turbochargers, exhaust manifolds and the exhaust gas recirculation system all within the inner V of the engine and was introduced to reduce further reducing fuel consumption, CO2 emissions as well as lowering particulate emissions.
