What To Expect
The 1.4TSI Twincharger is the VW Groups small hot hatch engine, until you've experienced one with Revo software you don't realise how much potential is really has. With power and torque increases throughout the entire rev range and very smooth power delivery, Revo Software gives the 1.4TSI the performance it should have had when Audi released it. Revo software gives it more punch throughout the rev-range making this little hot-hatch even hotter.
** As of January 2015, we are now able to provide Revo Software for the 2013 onward vehicles. 2013MY onward vehicles use a later version of the MED17.5.5 ECU with a TC1797 processor.
Both earlier and later versions are supported by Revo, please speak to your Revo dealer for further details **
Due to issues with these engines from the factory Revo recommend running NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs whether you're running Stage1 or Stage2 software.
Technical Notes
- The 1.4TSI Twincharger engine is known to suffer with oil consumption and misfire issues in standard form. If your vehicle has any running issues in standard form our dealers have been advised to refuse to upgrade it. For further details please click here
How It's Installed
Revo Software is installed by a trained technician via the OBD port, we no longer need to remove or open the ECU to install Software. All Stage 1 Revo Software is designed to work within the tolerances of a standard vehicle with no component upgrades required. We test on our in-house development vehicles and through our global dealer network, we also carry out power testing on an in-house hub dyno and with special access to a private proving ground & test track.
Stage 2 Performance Software has been specifically developed to attain the best possible performance from the 1.4TSI with a bolt on performance parts. One of the problems with the 1.4TSI is heat, Stage2 modifications increase the airflow and the cooling potential of the engine. Stage 2 software also has a stock mode and three performance modes allowing the vehicle to be setup to suit the fuel quality and driving conditions. Stage2 typically gives great gains throughout the midrange, for more information about peak power figures click here.

SPS Settings
Stock Mode – (Position 1 on your SPS)
Performance Mode 1 - for 95ron fuel in poor running condition (Position 2 on your SPS)
95ron mode is a huge improvement over standard software, it is however tuned to suit lower quality fuel and is ideal to use in warmer climatic conditions.
Performance Mode 2 – for 97/98ron fuel in good conditions (Position 3 on your SPS)
The optimum setting to use in good climatic conditions with 98ron fuel, with great increases in both power and torque over standard and the 95ron performance mode.
Performance Mode 3 – for 99/100ron fuel in optimum conditions (Position 4 on your SPS)
To be used when 100ron or better fuel is being run or with 99ron fuel in very good operating conditions
