Made by world leading brake manufacturer Alcon, only the best materials, techniques and processes have been used in the manufacture of our rear brake discs. Alcon has been at the forefront of motorsport braking innovation for over 30 years.
The Revo disc upgrade is designed to directly replace the stock discs and comes complete and ready to fit with left and right-handed, directional 310mm discs, Ferodo DSP pads and Goodridge stainless-steel brake lines. Offering the perfect upgrade for road and track use without increasing the size of the disc and while reusing the OE calipers
Heat is an unavoidable by-product of friction. Managing this heat efficiently is extremely important to avoid it transferring to the pads, calliper, and fluid. One of the design goals of the Revo rear brake kit was to increase the temperature at which the rear brake system can operate properly, maintaining an adequate coefficient of friction. Whilst also managing thermal loads adequately by improving heat dissipation, basically allowing the brakes to perform better for longer whilst under these temperatures.
Revo discs are manufactured by Alcon and utilise over thirty years of motorsport expertise in their design and manufacture. Internal vanes are used to draw air through the centre of the disc outward, allowing the heat to transfer as it passes. The rotation of the discs and vanes play an important role in brake cooling as it acts as a pump to move air. The Revo upgrade consists of a right and left-hand disc to optimise cooling and ensure consistent stopping power for your vehicle.
As with all Revo front brake upgrade kits, the Revo MQB rear kit includes upgraded rear brake lines. The included lines are manufactured by Goodridge in the UK from stainless steel braided sleeving and utilise a PTFE liner within the sleeving to transmit the brake fluid. These brake lines also eliminate the possibility of a soft pedal under heavy, sustained braking loads which can sometimes be felt with the stock rubber hose as they can expand under high pressure.
