In standard form the V10 R8 couldn’t be classed as a slow car, with over 500bhp, a sub 4.0second 0-60 time and a top speed of very close to 200mph it has performance that previously hasn’t been associated with factory Audi’s. Audi left themselves a lot of headroom to play with to extract close to 30hp more than the standard R8, but we can still work our usual magic to extract its real potential.
With a vehicle that’s capable of 200mph Revo adjustability really comes into it’s own. Throttle response is a personal preference; lower settings give you more control using the throttle and higher values can give the car a very aggressive ‘feel’ when you lightly touch the throttle, neither is wrong so the setting is setup to suit the individual driver and the conditions the car is being used in. Fuelling and Timing adjustment is setup to suit the fuel quality run and again conditions, we give the R8 V10 plenty of headroom on the road so should it be taken to V-Max and put through it’s paces on the track it will be 100% happy. If the car is being used in a various conditions the the Revo SPS is very beneficial, the three user presets can be setup to give a number of performance setting combinations. For example a 99ron road, track, and low octane mode could be set, giving you the best setup for each condition.
